The Plantation walk early in the morning through the lush, green, tea plantations and the misty trail is worth waking up early for. You can walk the trail every morning here in the misty courtyard. Walk through the mist, hand-in-hand with your beloved one and what if you witness a sparkling waterfall sprinkling the droplets of romance on your faces at the end of the short walk. The neverending attractions around this boutique luxury resort just begins there. The Periya Canal waterfalls lay around 200 meters away from the plantation and the view is so scintillating. While walking back you can have a ‘one-meter tea’ nearby.
Who visits Munnar to just stay under the sheets, we have got your back. The misty courtyard has a trekking programme with a span of around one and half hours through the plantation, and up to the hill. Witness the mesmerizing view of the enthralling nature’s lap from the top. As the trek progresses you will come by the Sita lake, which has a very fascinating legend behind it. It was believed that during their exile from Ayodhya, Lord Ram and Maa Sita, visited the lake and took bath in it. With several picturesque locations en route, you will love the journey as much as the destination.
The resort organises a jeep safari to the ‘The Great Escape’ caves, where the interesting tale of a legendary thief, ‘Malaikkallan’ who steals from the rich people and British officials and distributes the loot to the poor. The caves near the resort were his escape routes to his land in Tamil Nadu after the brave robbery. It’s a breathtaking experience to be able to travel through history and experience it.
The Coffee walk is an exclusive programme offered to the guests in the misty courtyard. It might sound trifle, but the experience is indescribable due to the amazing mist, announcing its presence regularly. The walk starts from the resort with flasks filled with coffee, have it when you reach the middle of the plantation after the short walk. A nice hot and steaming cup of coffee while the clouded mist surrounds you in abundance, is beyond every description. It’s mesmerising to experience as you will cherish the moment forever.
The exquisite delicacies of Misty Courtyard can’t be forgotten easily. Our head chef Ms Kartika, was once a tea-plantation worker and a homemaker. We got to taste her food fortuitously. Realising her gifted cooking skills, we offered her to join us. Ms Kartika who is well- trained in local, north Indian and western cooking skills has put forward a special fusion cuisine which is the main attraction of our kitchen. Apart from that, she conducts a cookery show every evening before our guests. These special treats are exclusive items on our menu that we bet, can’t be seen anywhere.
At the misty courtyard, we support women empowerment and equality, you can see the reflection of the same in our staff. We promote equality in terms of both remuneration and respect for the employees. Furthermore, we provide exclusive sessions which are led by women, including the cooking show by Chef Kartika. Additionally, exclusive programmes can be arranged for female guests at the resort.
