The boutique luxury resort has all the facilities for any small group of guests to enjoy the heart out by participating in various events that are brilliantly organized.
A morning walk is always good to make your day brighten and refreshing. Imagine such a walk through the lush green tea plantation, with an accompanying mist throughout the trail. You can experience it at the Misty Courtyard in the very morning after a superfine sleep at one of the suits. Walk through the mist, hand-in-hand with your beloved one and what if you witness a sparkling waterfall sprinkling the droplets of romance to your faces at the end of the short walk. The never-ending attractions around this boutique luxurious resort just begin there. The Periya Canal waterfalls lay around 200 meter away from the plantation and the view is so scintillating. While walking back you can have a ‘one meter tea’ nearby.
It might be boring if there’s no taste of a little adventure during a leisure stay or in a vacation trip. The Misty Court Yard has a trekking program of around one and half hour through the plantation to up the hill. Witness the mesmerizing view of the enthralling nature’s lap from the top and you will forget the stress and strains of the short but a little hard trekking. There’s a lake that can be seen during this trail, which is the ‘Sita’ Lake. There’s a legend behind the name. It was believed that during their exile from Ayodhya, Lord Ram and Maa Sita, visited here and took bath in this Lake.
The resort organizes a jeep safari to the ‘The Great Escape’ caves where an interesting tale of a legendary thief lies behind. The ‘Malaikkallan’ who steals from the rich people also from British officers and distribute these looted things among the poor. The caves near the resort were his escape route to his land in Tamil Nadu after the brave robbery. It’s a wonderful experience to have this jeep safari and journey through the story behind the caves. Also we can enjoy some off-roading and natural safari with the group.
Coffee walk is another wonderful and never before attraction for the guests and an exclusive program in the resort. The coffee walk may seem simple while we read about, but the actual experience is beyond words because of the amazing mist announcing its presence every now and then. The walk starts from the resort with flasks filled with coffee, have it when you reach at the middle of the plantation after the short walk. A nice hot and steaming cup of coffee while the clouded mist surrounds you in abundance is beyond every description. It’s purely mesmerizing enough to forget ourselves.
The exquisite delicacies of Misty Courtyard are something which can’t be forgotten at that ease. Our chief chef is a lady Ms. Kartika, who was once a tea-plantation worker and housewife, whom we found God-gifted when we tasted her recipe for the very first time and she was appointed as the chief cook of our resort within no time. Sooner she got excellent training in western as well as north Indian style cooking. Now, the ‘fusion cuisine’ which is a mix of all these styles, the western and the eastern is the main attraction from our kitchen. Apart from that, she conducts a cookery show in every evening before our guests. These special treats are exclusive items in our menu which we bet, can’t be seen anywhere.
It’s another highlight of Misty Courtyard; if a group of 12 or 15 ladies are coming together for a pleasant stay at our boutique luxury resort, they can ‘own’ the resort. This is a part of women empowerment as we always support and encourage ‘ladies lead’ programs. Our chief chef Ms Kartika can spend time with such groups and they can try new styles of cooking recipes. It’s always a give and take process of learning new things.
The resort has three different lawns and each of them is of special purpose. The ‘Honeymoon zone (lawn)’ is decorated for the newlyweds or the couples. This lawn has fantastic arrangements of dining in the light of candles that melts in the heat of romance. A so called ‘candle-light dinner’ is the major thing in this zone. Second lawn is exclusively for camp-fire, where family, friends or couple can sit together with the beautiful camp fire prepared there and spend some quality time. And the third zone is for organizing any private functions which should be booked early.
